About
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Miami University. I am currently conducting research for a book project, "Media under Water: Friction, Flow, and the Cultural Geographies of Undersea Cables." This project traces the social and cultural dimensions of undersea communications cables and their relationships with other media infrastructures in the Pacific Rim. I focus specifically on the hubs that have historically facilitated transpacific traffic, including Fiji, Guam, Hawaii, and New Zealand.
